Our Mission
Helping Heroes USA
Creating Support Networks and Saving Lives
At Helping Heroes USA (HHUSA), we believe that saving lives starts locally. Through our Suicide Prevention Symposium Series, we empower communities to recognize warning signs, provide support, and build networks of hope. Our mission focuses on veterans, first responders, and all individuals affected by the epidemic of suicide.

Understanding Suicide Risk Factors
Suicide prevention begins with understanding who is most at risk. Multiple factors can contribute to suicidal thoughts or behaviors, including:
- Mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
- Substance abuse can intensify mental health struggles.
- History of trauma or abuse, including physical, emotional, or sexual abuse.
- Chronic illness or pain, which may cause feelings of hopelessness.
- Previous suicide attempts significantly raise future risk.
- Family history of suicide or mental health issues.
- Isolation and loneliness, leading to despair and hopelessness.
- Major life changes, including the loss of a loved one, divorce, or financial hardship.
You Are Not Alone
Your next chapter starts
with connection.
At Helping Heroes USA, we don’t just raise awareness—we take action. We understand the unique challenges our heroes face after service: isolation, silent struggles, and the weight of trauma. That’s why we offer programs built on connection, trust, and community—not red tape.
We Understand
Our team includes veterans and first responders who know the struggles of life after service.
We Connect
Our events create space for heroes to bond, share, and heal. From golf to group rides, every gathering builds community.
We Equip
Families and friends learn how to spot warning signs, offer support, and take action. Everyone plays a role in preventing suicide.
What Our Heroes Say
